Finally! I was able to go to a real vacation! Thanks to one of my best friends… Zarah Almodar…
I went to Puerto Gallera, an island in the Philippines. My cousin and I went to Coco Beach which is I could say one of the nicest places I have ever been too. Alvin (my cousin) thinks so too.
I haven’t uploaded the pictures yet, but believe me… it is heaven on earth!
You guys should really try it. Most of their patrons are from Europe but during the time we went there, there are not so much people so we were really able to relax, and enjoy the place. We got everything free. Transportation, and accommodations…. Everything!
Out hosts are very gracious and they gave us a private tour of the island. We even went to a secluded water falls (okay probably not THAT exclusive) and it was sooo much fun!
Even though I don’t know how to swim (I think) I was still able to have loads of fun. The food was great since they have their own chef, and my cousin and I have a large cottage which we didn’t have to share with anybody else. Everything was really first class. I’ll probably talk a lot more about the adventure I went to with my cousin but that would have to wait for the pictures.
Oh oh…. I also got a very nice and even tan! And to think I don’t like being tan. Hahaha!

Yey! Singapore Slingers won!! The match was last Sunday, January 13, 2008. Phew!

There were a lot of people as well. I think the team is more motivated because there are a lot of people cheering for the, holding those white plastic things provided by AIA. (Sorry, I don’t know what it’s called)

More bloggers were present as well. And although we weren’t sitting at the normal box for bloggers, it was still fun. I’m always looking forward to see all of them every match.
Oh, and I have good news to those who would want to get the Million Dollar shot. There is still hope!
The Million Dollar is still in the table. So far, nobody has managed to shoot the ball into the basket. I have a word of advice for all you hopefuls out there. If you want to give it a shot, practice first! hehe!
Oh and about the blooper, here’s what happened. Princessa wants to have a photo with Jamie Ong. I heard she’s an actress. (I don’t really know her. Anyway, I don’t know any local actress since I don’t watch TV.)
So I helped her ask Jamie Ong if we can have a photo with her. (She happen to be very nice and pretty by the way) Then I thought it’s over. I’ve indulged Princessa already with her photo. Precious asked if we can have another, but during that time I didn’t hear her because I was ready to leave and I wasn’t paying attention already.
I wrote about our paintball experience more than a week ago, and it’s barren. No photos to actually show how fun it was. You guys should really go and try it. Normally girls wouldn’t like it but I… well I love guns! So go figure. haha!
Alright, so this is the place where it happened.
At Tag Cafe!
Funny thing is, I don’t have rubber shoes on. Since I was staying at Princessa’s place during that time and she’s also not a rubber shoes kind of person. So there’s no choice. I had to play paint ball wearing my flip flops.
But that didn’t stop me. Oh no it didn’t!
This is me and Princessa of course. But she didn’t play. She’s such a girl! Hihi! Oh and he-who-must-not-be-named is in these photos. I just wouldn’t say which one he is. » Read The Rest

I can’t believe I acted like a girl! Arg!
I went to play paintball at Tag Cafe today with Bubbles and his friends while Princessa blogs outside the field. I was so excited about playing paintball today. I even did warm up before going there by taking a jog. I was thinking it would be easy since I know how to handle a real gun. I figured a painball gun would be a breeze.
Well, it is. Easy to fire and very light.
But I forgot one thing… I’m not used to it!
It’s the first time I played paintball and I’m not familiar with the angle I should tilt my gun to be able to hit my target. Of course the velocity of the bullet is sooo far from that of a real gun. Geez!
This is not the part that I was disappointed though. I acted like a coward. I got scared of being hit.
So I went near, but I didn’t really come out of the open. For a moment I did, I even shouted orders to my team mates because they were acting like cowards as well yet they’re guys!
Then the back of my hand got it. It didn’t hurt. Yet I was still scared of doing stunts that I used to do when I was a kid. The game went on with me playing safe and just shooting those that I can actually see. I didn’t really charge.
After the game, the guys are all showing their bruises and cuts. I have a very pathetic cuts in my fingers, mud in my feet and the part where the bullet hit the back of my hand didn’t even had a bruise. It just turned red. And right now, I can barely see it. Doesn’t even hurt when I apply pressure to it.
And the small cuts? They’re all healed now. It’s as if I didn’t had a cut at all. Aaaah! Can you imagine the frustration?
I will not have a batter scar. And I don’t even have a battle bruise! All because I decided to play safe and I acted like a chicken.
Haiz… When I go back to the Philippines, I’ll borrow my brother’s gun and go to the shooting range. I think I’ve been hanging out with girls too much lately, and doing girly things. I’m losing the learnings I got from my brothers. Waaah!!!
Oh and by the way, a guy I used to date was there. It’s he-who-must-not-be-named. When I was showing Princessa and Bubbles my pathetic cuts, he asked me if I’m hurt.
I sooo wanted to punch him then and there. Yeah right! That’s exactly the opposite of what I’m complaining about. I’m not hurt. That’s the problem! Grrr! If he didn’t give me the vest that he used, I could have just punched him in the face. Okay I’m exaggerating.
I don’t want to discuss this anymore right now. I guess I’m still frustrated and still hyped out about it. The photos will follow as well since I still don’t have them.

Finally catch the Singapore Slingers again! It has been quite a while since the last. It was of course another blast.
(notice the intensity in which we were all watching the game?)
This time around, there were more bloggers who watched the game. Nic has been very nice to invite all of us. This time around, I would like to highlight the people who went there.
See here… basketball games are not only for the game itself. It’s also a chance to meet other bloggers. And of course to see Curly Tops. Oh..oh..wait! I have another photo of him. Thanks to Simply Jean for taking the awesome photos.
This is the last game of the year so of course I didn’t miss the chance to have a photo taken with him. hehehe! And some more photos with the bloggers of course. Precious was there along with Sheylara, Alice, Andy, Daphne, and a whole lot more!
Here’s a photo of the whole lot…
And another one…
And another… Well…What do you expects? Bloggers most definitely love to take photos. It’s as important as the air we breath.
Although the Slingers lost against the West Sydney Razorbacks, we can still say that we didn’t go home empty handed. Because one person in the group won $500!!!
You might be wondering why would he win $500 cold cash if he just went to watch basketball. It’s as easy as 1.2.3. And it’s called the Million Dollar shot. If you went there, you’d be able to know the secret question which would allow you to register to the Million Dollar site. But since it’s Christmas and so it’s the time of giving, let me tell you a little secret. Just between you and me. (hehe!)
If you go to the Million Dollar Shot site… Just think of 2 days before Christmas, say ‘Open Sesame’ and then that’s it! You get a chance for the Million Dollar$.
I just wish my arms are more powerful. Then I’ll be able to join with confidence. *sigh*
Oh well, at least my arms are strong enough to do this to Princessa!
Disclaimer: Santa, I wasn’t being a bad girl. She started it. Look!
And I have reason to believe that it will never stop. haha!
So anyway, want a Million Dollars? Then be sure to get your butts inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium on the 2nd and 8th of January and 13th of February. You don’t really have to attend all of these games. But if you want to increase your chances for the Million Dollars, then I suggest put more effort in joining us all there!
Oh and in case I haven’t expounded on how you’ll win the bucks… enough. I’ll leave you all this video.

Hold your horses my dears. It’s not a calamity I’m talking about here, but disaster yup absolutely!!! We went to Zouk more than a week ago and it’s disaster written all over it.
Here’s what happened. Princessa promised me that we’ll be going to Fashion Bar on Wednesday. You know, checking the market value and all (girls should know this). Then again, bubbles (her bf, aka teddy bear) told us that they would be going to Zouk to meet Jason’s new erm… girl-friend.
We were intrigued of course. For reasons that are not really reasonable (except for the fact that he dated my best friend when she visited me here). So fine… being the laid back person that I am, that thinks I can have fun wherever as long as there’s music and a dance floor.
Oh and another thing that makes me a bit uncomfortable about this is I’m gonna meet he-who-must-not-be-named… again. I’m not afraid of him of course. It’s just that… ahm…nothing.
To cut the story short, we went there (with me hoping to have fun dancing alone with the music) and guess what?!
There’s a long cue outside, we had to wait for atleast 30 minutes. When we finally got inside it’s so full of people that if you raise your eyebrows, you’ll be considered a good dancer already. Because it’s the only thing you can bloody move!!!

Okay I’m exaggerating but that’s not the point! I don’t even like the music. 80’s song? pleeeezzzz! I’m so over that. Ugh!
We met up with Jason and the ‘gang’ and of course the famous girl-friend of his. Introductions were madeand….

It was awesome! Yup, exactly how I envisioned it to be. The place was perfect, very conducive to showcase the new addition to the lineup of amazing products from Philips.
Last Saturday, 7th of December, Philips held the Bloggers Experience Breakfast at the Corduroy Cafe.
It was a running sumptuous breakfast…
And free flowing drinks from the bar.
Everybody enjoyed the food. And…don’t you just think the presentation is exquisite?
After some introductions, and getting to know sessions (although almost everybody knows everybody already), the event organizers from Philips started to give us a little background of the HDTV.
Aesthetically speaking, I can’t ask for anything more.
But… there is in fact a lot more to this sleek new product from Philips.
It comes with Ambilight technology. Sounds complicated (it actually is), but the goal (which it totally hit!) is to enhance the viewing experience by reducing the stress to the eyes and adding a new dimension to the viewing experience by projecting background lighting from the rear of the FlatTV unit onto the wall.
How it’s done? Well, the TV itself analyzes the incoming signals in real time and produces background lighting that matches the onscreen images. I’m telling you, it’s so cool!
See for yourself….
(Notice the light coming out from the back?)
Here’s another one… » Read The Rest

I’m going to the Philips Bloggers Experience Breakfast this coming Saturday 8th of December, 9.50am at the Corduroy Cafe in Vivo City!!!
Whew! That was long. haha! Anyway, Singapore’s finest will be there (meaning the top bloggers) and I’m looking forward to meeting them all.
This is an exclusive event, but since Princessa is one of the people that holds the invitation rights…. ahem… I sort of got an invite.
There’s a lot to more to the event than just meeting these cream of the crop in the blogging arena. See… this exclusive breakfast is hosted by Philips Electronics.
The breakfast event aims to give an insight into the next generation of gaming and movie entertainment experiences in high-definition and fully inclusive high-fidelity surround audio and much more:
- Fabulous door gifts and a great breakfast menu
- Demos and hands-on with Philips HDTV and audio products in gaming and movie entertainment environments
- Exclusive bloggers-only discounts on Philips visual and audio products
- Networking with Philips and your peers in the local blogosphere
Interesting right?! I’m sure I’ll have a lot to write about the event itself. Definitely there will be a lot of photos to share with you all.
So till then… I’ll park my cyber pen for now.

I can’t believe I had to miss the Singapore Slingers game. I’ve been looking forward to it for 2 weeks. Arg!! And I thought I’ll be able to make it.
See, the game happened last Sunday. I thought I had it all figured out. I will have my CFA exam first, then head directly to the game. That simple.
Then again, here’s what happened for that whole day.
I woke up around 6:30am to make sure I won’t be late for the exam which will start at 9:00am. Took a cab around 7:30 and reached Singapore Expo by 8:00am.
I’m early right? but.. guess what? I don’t have cash. I only had nets with me and the cab I took doesn’t have the device for that. Waaah!!
We had to spend another 30 minutes just to find an atm machine that accepts OCBC cards. I still made it though. I got in 5 minutes before they closed the doors.
Basically, the exam is from 9am to 5pm with a 2hr break in between. I’m telling you it’s a very tiring exam. It could have been a LOT easier if I studied for it. I have 5 thick books and I didn’t even open one of them. sigh.
It ended at exactly 5pm but I had to wait for some announcements, and then of course people all rushed to the MRT, and I don’t happen to be a big fan of crowds so I decided to let let the crowd disperse first before taking the train.
As always the case after exams like this one, I had to take long walks afterwards. So I decided to walk from the MRT to the stadium. NOT a very good idea, it turned out.
I didn’t know that it would be such a long walk!! I totally drained all the energy I have for that day. When I finally got there, it was all over.
I met up with Princessa and her Prince Derek and of course Precious was there too.
There’s one good thing that happened for that day though… The Singapore Slingers won!!! Hurray!!
P.S. I would want to send my thanks again to Nic for the invite. (oh and one more sad thing… I didn’t get to see curly tops! waaah!)

November 11, 2007 Sunday
I’ll jump off a bit from the chronology of events in my story. Princessa and I went again to the Singapore Slinger’s game!!!
This time around, they were playing against the Adelaide 36ers. But of course our invites are still courtesy of Nic.
The same people were there, except for Mike. (Which I believe made Princessa very sad). Nonetheless, it was still a fun night. The Singapore Slingers were awesome even if they didn’t win. They will be great not far from now.
My only disappointment was the commentator though. I’m sorry, but I lived in a country that loves basketball. My brothers all play basketball, and sometimes I play with them for fun.
See, commentators should be able to increase the excitement. Give actual comments and brief the audience on what’s happening during the game. It’s frustrating! So I better not comment anymore.
Anyhow, since Mike wasn’t there we decided to get ourselves a Mike proxy. It was Andy (I don’t think he likes the idea, but it’s not as if he can do anything about it. hehe!)
The rest of the gang from the last game were all there. This time around, Aaron was also there, Simply Jean and Alice in Wonderland. As usual, the girls were pretty and the boys are all good looking. Although of course my GOOD friend Princessa would beg to differ (To her Mike is THE One-and-only apple of her eyes. hahaha!)
Kidding aside, I enjoyed their company. I can’t wait for the next game. Of course, depends on Nic and Precious, if they would still have us.
Oh and before I forget, after the game we all headed to Mc Donalds again. I think the drinks after the game is becoming a ritual already.
And the scandals…. hmm… If I were you guys, all of you should join us there next time. In the Singapore Slinger’s game, the only thing you can expect is the unexpected!!!!
